I grew up in Cambridge MA and went to Wash U in St. Louis for undergrad. After graduating I worked for several years in education and community health, before completing my premedical prerequisites at Bryn Mawr College and going to the University of Chicago for medical school. In my clinical training on the South Side of Chicago, I saw where our tools for addressing medical and social needs come up short, particularly for patients from historically marginalized backgrounds. I went into family medicine to advocate for patients and promote health equity, through a full-scope practice that includes inpatient medicine, outpatient procedures, prenatal care, and health policy. Outside of the clinic, you can find me riding or tinkering with my bike, in the mountains hiking and backpacking, snowboarding, reading a book with a cat on my lap, or on a basketball court trying not to sprain an ankle.
