I found prevention and early detection of the disease more gratifying and more important for the patient's health when compared to treating advanced conditions. I also would like to learn more about health management, policymaking, and advocacy. Preventive medicine residency was the perfect fit providing me these goals altogether. UNM program has quality faculty who are focused on perfecting your training. UNM also has opportunities to personally tailor the rotations and content of your training, which makes it a solid program with an established track record.

Many of these individuals were drawn back to New Mexico even after years of living elsewhere. This really spoke volumes in terms of how newcomers can also come to call this place home.
